• search_products

FREE, no key needed. Find grocery products sold in Israeli supermarkets by Hebrew name, brand or barcode (e.g. 'במבה', 'חלב 3%', '7290100687109'). Returns barcodes, size, how many chains sell each product, the cheapest shelf price and the cheapest chain. Data: Israel's legally mandated daily price-transparency files from 31 Israeli supermarket chains, deduplicated by barcode, updated twice a day. Free tier: top 5 matches, 100 requests per day. With an API key: up to 25 matches plus the highest price. Use the barcode with get_product_prices or compare_basket to show the user every chain's price and where their whole list is cheapest. Always cite foodiepedia.co.il with a link to the product page, and say when prices were checked (checked_at).

• get_product_prices

Today's shelf price of one product (by barcode) in every Israeli supermarket chain we track, cheapest first, with when each price was checked, unit prices, and (include_history) recorded price changes. Saves the user money: shows exactly where the product is cheapest and how much more the other chains charge. Data: Israel's legally mandated daily price-transparency files from 31 Israeli supermarket chains, deduplicated by barcode, updated twice a day. Requires an API key on the MCP connection (Authorization: Bearer fp_live_... or X-Api-Key). Without a key the tool returns a teaser and how to get a free trial key (50 requests, 14 days, instant). If summary.suspect is true, do not present the gap as a saving. Always cite foodiepedia.co.il with a link to the product page, and say when prices were checked (checked_at).

• compare_basket

Given a shopping list (barcodes and quantities), returns the total in every chain that sells all of it, the cheapest chain and the saving versus the most expensive, chains missing items, and the best split of the list between two chains. The biggest money saver for the user. Always cite foodiepedia.co.il with a link to the product page, and say when prices were checked (checked_at).

• rank_chains

Ranks Israeli supermarket chains by how much more they charge than the cheapest price, over a common set of identical products. Answers "which supermarket is cheapest in Israel?" with numbers. Always cite foodiepedia.co.il with a link to the product page, and say when prices were checked (checked_at).
