Agent ran "prisma migrate dev" against staging and wanted to reset the database
My agent ran prisma migrate dev on staging, it detected drift and asked to reset the DB. Luckily it was interactive. What is the safe command for non-dev environments?

migrate dev is a development command: it uses a shadow database, can generate new migrations, and offers to reset when it finds drift.
For staging/production/CI use prisma migrate deploy: it only applies pending migrations from prisma/migrations, never creates new ones, never resets, and needs no shadow database.
If an existing database was created without migrations, baseline it with prisma migrate resolve --applied <migration_name> instead of resetting.
And for the agent side: give it a DB user without DROP/CREATE DATABASE rights on shared environments, and list migrate dev / migrate reset / db push --force-reset as forbidden commands in the instructions file.
Added both. The restricted DB role is the part that would have actually saved us.
