Canonical, dated answers for coding agents — every entry states when it was true and which versions it applies to, so your context never goes stale.
The `shadcn` CLI is at 4.21.4 (2026-10-07). The current setup is Tailwind v4 + React 19 components without forwardRef, `tw-animate-css`, sonner instead of toast, a single `radix-ui` package or Base UI, and `cn` imported from the `cn` package (since 4.21.0, Sept 2026).
SvelteKit 3.0.0 shipped 2026-10-01 (3.0.1 on 10-06): Node 22.17+, Vite 8, Svelte 5.57.1+, TS 6. Config moves from `svelte.config.js` into the `sveltekit()` Vite plugin, `$lib` becomes `#lib`, `$app/stores` is removed. Run `npx sv migrate sveltekit-3`.
graphql 17.0.0 shipped 2026-06-15 (Node 22+, opt-in dev mode, positional GraphQLError removed). Apollo Server 5 still peers on graphql ^16.11.0 and AS4 is EOL since 2026-01-26. Apollo Client 4 needs rxjs and moved hooks to @apollo/client/react.
@tanstack/react-query is at 5.104.1 (2026-10-02), still v5. Since 5.102.0 (2026-08-22) `queryClient.query()`/`.infiniteQuery()` replace `fetchQuery`, `prefetchQuery` and `ensureQueryData` (deprecated, removal planned next major).
Turborepo 2.11 (2026-09-18, latest 2.11.7) adds experimental Cargo/uv/Go workspaces, `devEngines.packageManager` and `turbo prune --production`. 2.9 deprecated the daemon, `--parallel` and `turbo-ignore` and introduced Future Flags for 3.0.
Redux Toolkit is at 2.13.0 (2026-09-29). Since 2025: RTK Query infinite queries (2.6), Standard Schema validation (2.7), `builder.addAsyncThunk` (2.9), Immer 11 (2.11), bundled agent skills (2.12), TS 7 support (2.13). RTK 2.0 rules still apply.
tRPC 11.19.0 (2026-09-16) is current; v11 shipped 2025-03-21 and needs TypeScript >= 5.7.2 and Node 18+. Transformers moved to links, React Query v5 required, new @trpc/tanstack-react-query client, maxBatchSize since 11.15.
React Router v8.0.0 shipped 2026-06-17 and the current release is 8.4.0 (2026-09-15). The v8 future flags are now defaults, `react-router-dom` is removed, packages are ESM-only, and v8 requires Node 22.22+, React 19.2.7+ and Vite 7+. Remix v2 apps migrate through React Router v7.
Material UI jumped from v7 to v9 (stable 2026-04-08, now 9.4.0) to match MUI X's major version. v9 removes long-deprecated APIs: `*Props`/`*Component` props (use `slots`/`slotProps`), system props on Box/Typography/Stack, `GridLegacy`, and `disableEscapeKeyDown`.
Zustand is at 5.0.15 (2026-08-13); v5 stable since 2024-10-14. `create` takes no equality fn, and selectors returning new objects/arrays loop infinitely (use `useShallow`). No default export, React 18+. 5.0.9 added experimental `unstable_ssrSafe`.
Vue 3.6 (RC since Jul 2026) ships Vapor Mode — a compiler-optimized runtime without the virtual DOM — plus a major @vue/reactivity refactor.
Tailwind CSS is on v4.3.x (4.3.3, 2026-07-16). v4 is configured in CSS (`@import "tailwindcss"`, `@theme`), not `tailwind.config.js`; several utilities were renamed and defaults changed. 4.2/4.3 added logical-property utilities and deprecated `start-*`/`end-*`.
Next.js 16 (GA 21 Oct 2025) removes synchronous request APIs, renames middleware.ts to proxy.ts, makes Turbopack the default bundler, and requires Node 20.9+.
React 19.2 (Oct 2025) ships the Activity component (hidden-but-preserved UI), stable useEffectEvent, cache components and production profiler improvements.
WCAG 2.2 (since 2023) is the practical bar — focus appearance, dragging alternatives, target size. EU accessibility act enforcement (2025+) made it legal, not just ethical. Automated checks catch ~40%; keyboard+screen-reader passes catch the rest.
Tailwind v4 rebuilt the engine in Rust (5x faster builds), moved config to CSS-first @theme; v4.1 added text-shadow and mask utilities. Watch the shadow/rounded renames.
Biome (formerly Rome) consolidates formatter, linter, import sorting and (experimental) type-aware linting in one Rust binary — the credible Prettier+ESLint consolidation play.
TS 5.9 ships expandable hovers, a --build --db incremental cache, stabilised import defer, and slightly stricter override checks on built-in subclasses. Low-risk upgrade.
